Hilton Head Nannies Babysitting Registry was designed for families in the Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie, Beaufort and Savannah areas. We have compiled a proprietary Registry sourcing exclusive Caregivers, individually and painstakingly vetted in advance by our administrative team, to provide cautious parents with access to professional caregivers. Making a reservation with one of our vetted caregivers is as simple as picking up the phone and calling Hilton Head Nannies with the date and time you need a sitter. Or you can use on our online reservation request form designed just for members. Simply submit a reservation and we'll take care of the rest. All reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are dependent on availability- but we limit the number of members we accept into the program to ensure that we have plenty of caregivers available. Once we reach the limit we are comfortable with, we will move to a waiting list for new members.
The sitters are paid directly by the family at the end of each appointment. The nanny rate is generally $26 per hour. With this service, we cannot guarantee coverage with the same caregiver. We can only guarantee the same nanny in instances where clients need regularly scheduled help through our Permanent Nanny Placement Services.
Why Hilton Head Nannies?
We have one of the most intense vetting processes in the industry.
We often hear from applicants (and other agency owners) that our vetting process is quite intense, and we take great pride in that. As an agency, we are purposefully selective in what caregivers we will represent to our clients. On average, we admit less than 1% of applicants into our Registry. This means that for every thousand applicants, we approve of approximately 10. It usually takes 30-45 days for a caregiver to go through our process.
Provide 9 references (We receive written records from each reference, and we speak personally to each one before admitting someone into our Registry).
Take a written skills assessment & must have a high score.
Go through a multi-level interview process with our lead-recruiter and a final interview with HH Nannie's President.
Pass a thorough background check via a private firm that HH Nannies has contracted with since 2007.
Are Infant/Child/Adult CPR Certified and First Aid Certified

Babysitting Registry Fees

The agency fees for Babysitting Registry are as follows:
$500.00 Membership Fee Annually
$30.00 Booking Fee Per Appointment
4.5% checkout fee on agency fees (on credit card charges)
Caregiver Rate: $26/hour (to Caregiver)- 4 hour minimum, strictly enforced.
Early Start: +$5/hour (to Caregiver) when booking an appointment that begins before 7 am.
Late End: +$5/hour (to Caregiver) when booking an appointment that ends after midnight.
Auto Gratuity: A 20% Gratuity is automatically added to the total for any appointments that begin before 7 am, ends after 12 am or are 10+ hours long (to Caregiver) (this is in addition to the increased hourly rate).
Last Minute: +$15when booking an appointment with 4 hours' notice or less.
Time Adjustment: With more than 72 hours notice, the change is complimentary. With less then 72 hours notice, there is a $15 charge
Additional Children: Only your family and children are covered by your membership. If other children are to be present and will be left alone with the nanny, this must be cleared in advance with the office due to the extra paperwork required. There is an additional booking fee of $25 per family (to Agency) and $5 per child (to Caregiver).
After Hours Requests: +$50 convenience charge when contacting the office outside of business hours for a last-minute request.
Overnight Care: +$100 Booking Fee when requesting care overnight (as available)
24 Hour Care: +$200 Booking Fee when requesting 24 hour care (as available)
Travel Stipend: $35 per appointment travel stipend (to Caregiver), for appointments that are more than 30 miles distance from Caregiver's residence (this generally impacts Fripp Island and Tybee Island Clients).
Cancellation & Schedule Changes: Any cancellation or schedule change that results in a reduction in hours for an appointment with less than 72 hours' notice will require payment in full to the nanny. This ensures that nannies have dependable work when they hold an appointment slot for you in their schedule.
Holiday Weeks/Blackout Dates: Certain Holiday weeks/blackout dates are excluded from the Registry Program. Members who desire service during these dates may request appointments at the non-member rates. These dates are provided in early January of each year and the list is available at any time upon request.
Our caregivers are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. We recommend that you make your reservations in advance to ensure availability. We will always strive to fill last minute appointment requests when possible. Members are provided an emergency after hours number.
